My Philosophy

I want to be a teacher because I enjoy helping people and I want to make a difference in the world. I believe that every student has the potential to succeed, regardless the type of learner they are. The world is full of opportunities, and I want to be the one to help him or her realize that. To know that I made a difference in someone's life, no matter how big or little, is still rewarding in itself.

As a teacher, my objectives are:
  • To offer a clean and safe environment for every student;
  • To have enriching information that will help every student to succeed;
  • To provide assistance so that everyone has a chance to move forward;
  • To offer multiple resources and technologies to accomodate the numerous learning styles within my class; and
  • To make learning fun!
Students learn in multiple ways, and it's important to understand that because of numerous learning styles, that we are all unique. Because of this uniqueness, there must be different technologies and medias used in order to accomodate the needs of every student. In my class, these technologies and medias include:
  • Computers/laptops;
  • Internet
  • Various programs for creative learning;
  • PowerPoint Presentations and other MS Office software;
  • Projectors;
  • Scanners;
  • Digital/Video cameras; and
  • Many other items.
Have these technologies and medias in the classroom will not only help every student to learn, but it will also allow learning to be fun and intriguing, where students can be creative and fulfull curiosities that may arise through the span of the class. Could a class be taught with out all of this? Absolutely, it sure could. But think of all the possibilities that would be missed out on without all of it.
